The Challenge~
-------------
Matrix Madness consists of sets of ten
matrix problems. Each problem
displays a 3 by 3 grid, with all of
the squares but one filled in to form
a pattern. Several choices are
offered to you for the empty square.
Matrix Madness challenges you to
complete the pattern by making the
correct choice in as short a time as
possible.
There are three levels of play:
beginner, intermediate, and advanced.
If you are not familiar with matrixes,
we suggest you start with the beginner
level. The advanced problems may seem
to be impossible if you skip the first
two levels!
Ready to accept the challenge? Be
warned....it could drive you mad!
Playing Matrix Madness~
----------------------
When you first bring up Matrix
Madness, you can choose to see
a demonstration of how to play.
To see the demonstration, press F1.
To start playing Matrix Madness, press
F2. The timer is set. You have 100
seconds to solve each problem.
When the correct answer is displayed,
you can study it as long as you like.
When ready to continue, press Enter.

Scoring~
-------
You have 100 seconds to answer a
problem, and you can receive up to 100
points for each of the ten problems in
a set. However, each second that
passes decreases your score by one
point.
Points are shown at the bottom of
your screen.
If you answer incorrectly, you receive
a penalty: the number of possible
points, as well as the time allotted
to solve the problem, are reduced by
half.
If you run out of time, you do not
receive any points.
Sound~
-----
To turn the sound either on or
off, press F3.
Color~
-----
If you are not using a color display
use F4 to turn color off.
Pausing~
-------
Press F10 to pause at any time during
the demonstration.
Quitting the Game~
-----------------
At the end of each set of problems
either:
o Press Esc to play again
o Press F9 to exit from the program
and return to the menu.
